“They can put me in a jungle. Still, I can create.” – M. F. Husain
The jungle is a dense labyrinth of overgrown trees and unruly wildlife. It is synonymous with entanglement and puzzling riddles. This painting illustrates a chaparral or thick brush as it consumes its surroundings.
When life bogs you down and you feel as if you were lost in a jungle of fragmented thoughts and feelings, finding your way out can be overwhelming. In those moments you can choose to let it take over or you can create a new atmosphere around you.

“Making a dream come true is like taking control of an airplane high up in the stratosphere and landing it safely on the ground – a measure of forethought, skill and courage is definitely required.” – Silvia Hartmann
The stratosphere is a layer of the earth’s atmosphere which extends upward above the surface of earth.
This painting is called Stratosphere as it features a flow of cosmic rays symbolizing positive energy. These rays are glowing reminders of the visions in each of us for a deeper meaning of life. When you take in positive energy around you, it is visible from the outer parts of the earth.
How are you producing positivity around you?

“When everything is moving and shifting, the only way to counteract chaos is stillness. When things feel extraordinary, strive for ordinary. When the surface is wavy, dive deeper for quieter waters.” – Kristin Armstrong
Surface was inspired by a combination of opposing elements: disorder and tranquility, both of which meet in the center as an abstract horizon made of possibilities.
The shallow peaks of volcanic colors billowing beneath the earth’s surface is a montage of expression portraying fear and doubt. On the other spectrum is a peaceful atmosphere, expanding positive energy and reconciliation.
One of two things can happen when we centralize these contrasting ingredients. We can either let the fear take over our lives or we can paint a new picture with quieter waters. Ultimately we have the power to pacify our souls.

"The world today doesn’t make sense, so why should I paint pictures that do?" - Pablo Picasso
The above quote is amusing and true. I could say the same thing. I leave it up the viewer to decide what makes sense in my paintings according to their world view. I like to create an atmosphere through my paintings in which the viewer can determine the origin and destination.
This painting Passage appears to have layers leading to a destination of energy and happiness in this nonsensical world. The yellow produces joy and flows through like a geyser, saturating the calmness of the other colors, bringing the sense back into the painting.
Create your passage by designing your happiness to flow through the parts of your life that make no sense.

As the time changes back, autumn surrounds us. The nights are longer and darker, and the earth is preparing to hide for the winter. Flowers vanish, it’s time to hibernate. I love to inhale the golden hues that violate the atmosphere. Bronze and cinnamon shades spread across the trees as the maple sun inches into the horizon. What a perfect recipe for a painting! The colors bring warmth to my soul. Something magical happens when autumn visits, it brings inspiration and tranquility. Reach into your soul and find your inspiration this season!
