Twilight

Twilight

“I do an awful lot of thinking and dreaming about things in the past and the future – the timelessness of the rocks and the hills – all the people who have existed there. I prefer winter and fall, when you feel the bone structure of the landscape – the loneliness of it, the dead feeling of winter. Something waits beneath it, the whole story doesn’t show.” – Andrew Wyeth

Colors and words hide the earth’s translucence.  I love to create paintings and watch them unfold bringing undiscovered life to this sometimes bleak world.  As the colors blend into each other, a new energy forms!

This painting is called ‘Twilight’ as it combines the colors blue and red creating shades of purple, a mixture of meditation and mystery.  It expands the combination of warmth and coolness to create the feeling of winter being cold and damp outside in the snow but warm inside next to a fireplace.  Use the energy that you feel from the colors in this painting during the winter season.  Happy Holidays!
